FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | LINKEDIN | TWITTER | CHOOYA | YOUTUBE

Online platforms have help businesses scale and grow.

I have received lots of feedback from people saying that being on Facebook is a waste of time, that LinkedIn and Twitter are the best.

My most favorite platform happens to be LinkedIn. That’s where I connect with professionals and mentors across the globe.

LinkedIn happens to be one of my most resource centers for personal development aside from YouTube.

Your favorite platform should base on your long-term goal.

It’s also about understanding your audience.

Who do you really what to reach?

Facebook is superb for local businesses trying to reach people within their locality.

Local businesses thrive better with Facebook unlike Twitter and LinkedIn.

The first thing is to understand your target customers.

Let’s not switch platforms without purpose.

For Facebook, I use it to stay in touch with people within my community, friends, and families.

For Twitter, I use it mainly to follow-up with trends.

For Instagram, I’m yet to define my long-term goal with it. I think it’s favorite for businesses that can easily be conveyed via image or video and not text and links.

For my favorite platform LinkedIn, that’s where I learn and connect with mentors. Aside from YouTube, LinkedIn has contributed hugely to my personal development and growth.

But my best and the most used platform is YouTube Go. I spend an average of 21 hours on YouTube every week.

I personally don’t like lengthy text and hardly read hardcopy books. So, alternatively, I learn using videos.

We need to truly understand what works best for us.

I highly recommend Facebook for local food and coffee stores, hair salons, and beauticians in growing their sales.

Nevertheless, you can sparingly engage with travelers on Twitter and LinkedIn who might be visiting your town and might love to patronize you.

If you offer professional services and willing to connect with other professionals, never joke with LinkedIn for personal development and growth.

Though Facebook has Professional groups. I still prefer LinkedIn.

Just know what works best for you.

Lastly, if you have any kind of genuine business and want to be found by buyers and people near and far across Africa with or without an internet connection, I strongly recommend that you use Chooya.

Imagine that buyers and people can still find your business even when they are in poor network locations, run out of data, have no access to smartphones, or unable to on their data because of low battery.

So you see, from Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, YouTube, Twitter to Chooya, we all have the uniqueness that makes us stand out.
